Double Trap Hole

Double Trap Hole was introduced as part of the Secrets of Eternity booster set, released in 2015. As a Normal Trap card, it fits into the long-standing 'Trap Hole' family of cards, a staple of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game since its earliest sets. This specific iteration was designed to provide players with a situational method of removing multiple monsters from the field simultaneously, reflecting the evolving meta-game focus on punishing players who summon multiple monsters at once.

The card features an illustration consistent with the thematic language of the series, utilizing dark, foreboding visuals typical of the Trap Hole archetype to convey a sense of sudden tactical reversal. While it was printed as a common rarity, making it widely accessible to casual players, it represents a standard design approach by Konami to introduce niche counter-measures that force duelists to reconsider the risks of flooding their side of the field.
