Double Tool C&D

Double Tool C&D was introduced in the 2009 Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game expansion Raging Battle. This set arrived during the 5D's era of the game, a period characterized by the introduction of Synchro Monsters and a focus on specialized equip spells designed to support specific character-themed archetypes. The card serves as a thematic support piece for the Morphtronic archetype, reflecting the series' mechanical motif of changing modes to gain varied tactical advantages.

The card's design features the signature yellow-and-black aesthetic associated with Morphtronic monsters, intended to evoke a construction or mechanical workshop theme. Like many common-rarity cards from this period, it was illustrated to prioritize clear, functional iconography that players could easily recognize in a match. It was received as a niche utility card, valued primarily by players building Morphtronic-themed decks rather than for competitive play in the wider, high-level metagame.
