Dracotail Flame

Dracotail Flame (JUSH-EN011) was released as part of the Justice Hunters booster set, a mid-2000s expansion designed to bolster fire-attribute archetype strategies. It occupies a niche space as a reactive trap card, intended to punish opponents for aggressive field presence by inflicting burn damage based on specific creature types. The set was thematic in nature, aiming to provide a high-fantasy aesthetic that contrasted with the more industrial or mechanical themes appearing in contemporary sets of the era.

The card’s aesthetic was created by the in-house design team at the publisher, who utilized a signature high-contrast illustration style common to the Justice Hunters series. The design focuses on fluid, kinetic motion to emphasize the fiery nature of the trap. Upon its release, the card was received as a functional, if situational, piece for casual play, often sought after by collectors of the set’s broader fire-themed sub-series rather than competitive tournament players.
