Dracotail Lukias

Dracotail Lukias was introduced in the Justice Hunters set, which sought to expand the monster roster for the tactical trading card game by emphasizing dragon-type synergy. The card was designed to function as a frontline combatant, utilizing its effect-monster status to control the board and punish aggressive plays from the opponent. Its inclusion in the set marked a shift toward high-impact, utility-based monsters that could pivot between defense and offense depending on the player's strategy.

The illustrative direction for the card focused on a sleek, serpentine aesthetic, blending draconic armor with a fluid posture to reflect its agile playstyle. Artists working on the Justice Hunters series aimed to create a visual bridge between traditional fantasy tropes and the high-tech sci-fi elements of the game's broader universe. Upon release, it was well received by players who valued balanced deck building, finding a niche in competitive formats where reliable utility monsters were prioritized over brute strength.
