Exodia Necross

Exodia Necross is a pivotal card within the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, originally debuting in the early 2000s as a high-level effect monster tied to the iconic Exodia the Forbidden One lore. The Lost Art Promotion, which began in 2018, was created by Konami to release OCG-exclusive artwork for TCG cards that had previously been censored or altered for Western audiences. By bringing these original illustrations to the international market, the promotion honors the aesthetic intent of the original Japanese artists.

This specific iteration, numbered LART-EN072, was released in 2024 as part of the ongoing Lost Art Promotion series. It features the classic Kazuki Takahashi-inspired aesthetic, showcasing the powerful, darker manifestation of the Exodia entity that first appeared in the original manga and anime series. Collectors prize these cards for their ultra-rare foil treatment and their restoration of the artwork to its intended, more evocative form, representing a bridge between the game's early visual identity and modern competitive card collecting.
