Fairy Tail - Luna

Fairy Tail - Luna was introduced as part of the Maximum Crisis booster set, released by Konami in 2017. This card is a notable member of the 'Fairy Tail' archetype, a collection of Spellcaster-type monsters inspired by various literary figures and folktales. The theme reflects the game's long-standing tradition of blending high-fantasy motifs with specific thematic sub-archetypes that reward strategic deck-building and interaction.

The design of the Fairy Tail series is attributed to the internal creative teams at Konami, who sought to create a cohesive set characterized by delicate, ethereal illustrations paired with tactical control-oriented effects. Luna specifically utilizes a light-based aesthetic to complement its function as a disruptive tool. Upon its release, the card was received by the player base as a versatile tech option, appreciated for its ability to manipulate the field during the opponent's turn.
