Fallen of Albaz

Fallen of Albaz was introduced as the central protagonist of the Abyssal storyline, a sprawling narrative arc woven through various Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG and TCG sets beginning in 2020. This specific card represents the start of the Fallen's journey, designed to serve as the mechanical engine for a fusion-heavy deck archetype. The character's visual design, characterized by his pale features and distinct draconic armor, reflects the tragic, wandering nature of his quest to recover his lost memories while navigating a war-torn world.

The card was illustrated to emphasize a dark, high-fantasy aesthetic that aligns with the game's shift toward more serialized, lore-intensive card design. Within the competitive community, the card is recognized for its unique ability to utilize the opponent's monsters as material, a mechanic that defined its reception as both a tactical powerhouse and a narrative tool. As part of the All-Foil Edition of The Chronicles Deck, this version is sought after for its reflective finish, which complements the dramatic and somber tone of the illustration.
