Flash Knight

The Flash Knight, identified as DEM3-EN003, was released as part of the 2016 Demo Deck, a promotional tool designed by Konami for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. These decks were distributed to hobby shops and gaming retailers to introduce new players to the mechanics of the Pendulum Summoning system, which had become a central feature of the game during the Arc-V era. The card serves as a foundational example of a Normal Pendulum Monster, balancing simple gameplay utility with the thematic lore of the archetype.

The design of the card reflects the aesthetic shift seen in the mid-2010s for the game, featuring the distinctive red and blue Pendulum scales that allow for unique field presence. As a Common rarity card, it was crafted for accessibility rather than collectibility, intended to be a reliable, recurring presence in beginner hands. Its reception was largely defined by its utility as a bridge for new players transitioning into the complexities of Pendulum-based strategies, rather than as a centerpiece for competitive tournament play.
