Flash Knight

Flash Knight was released in 2014 as part of the Duelist Alliance booster set, a pivotal expansion in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. It introduced the Pendulum Summoning mechanic, which fundamentally altered the game's flow by allowing players to summon multiple monsters simultaneously from their hand or Extra Deck. As one of the first pendulum monsters, Flash Knight served as a fundamental demonstration of this new dual-purpose design, functioning as both a monster on the field and a spell card within the Pendulum Zone.

The card was designed by the creative teams at Konami to emphasize the thematic shift toward the ARC-V era of the franchise. Featuring a high-fantasy, armored aesthetic, the illustration highlights the mechanical integration of the Pendulum scales. Upon its debut, the card was received primarily as a structural piece for players exploring the new pendulum engine, valued more for its utility in establishing early gameplay mechanics than for individual competitive dominance.
