Forced Ceasefire

Forced Ceasefire was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the North American market through the Dark Revelation Volume 3 set, released in 2006. As a compilation set, Dark Revelation Volume 3 served to make previously released cards from earlier expansions more accessible to the general player base, gathering cards from sets like Magician's Force, Dark Crisis, and Invasion of Chaos into a single collection.

The card itself functions as a normal trap that forces all face-down defense position monsters into face-up attack position, simultaneously flipping any face-up attack position monsters into face-down defense position. Its design reflects the strategic emphasis on manipulating battle positions that was prevalent in the game's early to mid-era, serving as a disruptive tool to thwart strategies reliant on flip effects or defensive stalling.
