Frightfur Wolf

Frightfur Wolf was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the 2015 Mega-Tin Mega Pack, serving as part of the broader Fluffal and Frightfur archetype. The creature design, conceived by the game's creative teams at Konami, embodies the macabre aesthetic of the Frightfur fusion monsters, which are depicted as twisted, doll-like amalgamations of plush toys. This design philosophy aimed to juxtapose child-like themes with darker, unsettling imagery, a stylistic choice that became a hallmark of the arc featuring Sora Perse in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V anime.

Upon its release in the Mega-Tin, the card provided players with a powerful offensive tool, specifically its ability to attack multiple times depending on the number of materials used in its fusion. While the card itself is a rare, it gained notoriety among players for its strategic utility in aggressive decks that prioritized high-damage output. It remains a notable example of the game's mid-2010s design direction, which frequently experimented with complex monster effects to maintain the competitive relevance of fusion summoning.
