Fusion Gate

Fusion Gate was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the late 1990s as a high-utility spell card designed to facilitate fusion summoning without the need for traditional polymerization cards. It represents a fundamental shift in card mechanics for the era, allowing players to banish fusion material monsters directly from the hand or field to summon powerful fusion monsters, albeit at the cost of the monsters being banished rather than sent to the graveyard.

The reprint found in the Albaz Strike Structure Deck, designated as SDAZ-EN024, serves as a thematic inclusion designed to support the deck's heavy reliance on fusion summoning mechanics. While the original artwork and core design concept date back to the early years of Konami's game development, this specific common-rarity version was curated to help players efficiently utilize the 'Fallen of Albaz' engine, reflecting a continued commitment to reissuing legacy support cards for modern play environments.
