Gladiator Beast Samnite

Gladiator Beast Samnite debuted as part of the Gladiator Beast archetype, a central fixture of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game introduced during the GX era. Designed to mimic the combat mechanics of ancient Roman arena fighters, the archetype centers on a tag-out system that allows monsters to cycle in and out of the field to trigger specific effects. This mechanical cohesion made the series a competitive staple upon its release, reflecting the game's shift toward highly synergistic decks.

The specific print from OTS Tournament Pack 12, released in the Portuguese language edition, serves as a reprint designed to support the Organized Play environment. These tournament packs are curated by Konami to provide players with accessible versions of established cards, ensuring that historical archetypes remain playable in modern formats. As a common rarity print, this version prioritizes utility and game balance over aesthetic flair, typical of the functional design approach taken for tournament support cards.
