Green Duston

Green Duston was released as part of the Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy booster set in 2013, a collection that introduced several key archetypes to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. As a member of the 'Duston' archetype, this card was designed as a low-level effect monster intended to swarm the field for specialized summoning strategies, such as Xyz Summoning or tribute fodder. The Duston monsters are characterized by their whimsical, somewhat erratic visual design, which contrasts with the more aggressive aesthetic often found in competitive play.

The archetype was illustrated to reflect a chaotic, mascot-like personality, with Green Duston specifically utilizing a color-coded scheme to distinguish its unique utility within the set. Upon its release, the card was received primarily as a niche utility tool for players focusing on disruption or 'junk' strategies, rather than a centerpiece of high-level meta decks. It remains a notable example of the creative expansion of card game mechanics during the Zexal era, valued by collectors for its specific inclusion in the Tachyon Galaxy release cycle.
