Harpie Lady 1

Harpie Lady 1 was released in the 2005 Structure Deck: Lord of the Storm, a set themed around WIND-attribute monsters and the Harpie archetype. The card serves as a thematic evolution of the original Harpie Lady, introducing a support effect that boosts the attack power of all WIND monsters on the field, which was designed to bolster the synergy of Harpie-based decks in the competitive landscape of that era.

The artwork and character design of the Harpie cards draw heavy inspiration from Greek mythology, specifically the bird-women known as Harpies. While Kazuki Takahashi created the original manga designs, the visual evolution of the Harpie Lady variants was intended to provide distinct mechanical benefits while maintaining the consistent aesthetic of the deck. As a common rarity card, it was widely accessible, allowing players to easily integrate the specific tactical advantage of the attack boost into their strategies.
