Hieracosphinx

The Hieracosphinx was released in early 2005 as part of The Lost Millennium, the fourteenth core booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. This set leaned heavily into ancient Egyptian and mythological archetypes, reflecting the series' transition into the 'GX' era. As a Super Rare card within this expansion, it was designed to integrate with the Sphinx-themed cards associated with the character Sphinx Teleia and Andro Sphinx, aiming to capitalize on the aesthetic appeal of legendary creatures rooted in classical mythology.

The design of the Hieracosphinx draws directly from the traditional mythological creature, featuring the head of a hawk on the body of a lion.
