Igknight Paladin

Igknight Paladin was originally introduced as part of the Clash of Rebellions expansion in 2015, featuring a group of fire-attribute warrior-type monsters centered around a unique pendulum summoning mechanic. The Igknight archetype was designed to allow players to search for specific monster pieces by destroying other Igknights in the pendulum zones, a playstyle that emphasized aggressive deck thinning and rapid resource generation within the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game.

The 2016 Mega-Tin Mega Pack, which included this specific printing as a common card, served as a compilation set meant to make prominent cards from the previous year more accessible to the general player base. The design of the Igknight series, known for its distinctive knight-in-armor aesthetic infused with flame motifs, was part of a broader Konami initiative to explore high-speed pendulum gameplay, and this specific reprint ensured that the card remained a staple for players building archetype-specific strategies.
