Inaba White Rabbit

Inaba White Rabbit was introduced as part of the Legacy of Darkness expansion, which debuted in the TCG in 2003. This set was pivotal for the early Yu-Gi-Oh! game, as it expanded the strategic depth by introducing spirit monsters and high-level support cards that shifted the game beyond simple beatdown tactics. The card draws its name and thematic inspiration from the Inaba no Shirousagi, a prominent figure from Japanese mythology found in the Kojiki.

The card’s design features a whimsical, artistic interpretation of the mythological rabbit, crafted to align with the unique mechanics of the spirit monster archetype. These monsters are characterized by their ability to return to the owner's hand during the end phase, a design choice meant to simulate the fleeting nature of spirits. While the card is a common rarity, it remains a notable piece for collectors interested in how folklore was integrated into the early design philosophy of the Konami trading card game.
