The design, typically credited to the Konami design team, leaned into a dark, gothic aesthetic featuring skeletal, undead-like figures encased in shadowy armor to match the graveyard-centric playstyle.

The 2018 Mega-Tin Mega Pack, which featured this specific common rarity printing, served as a comprehensive retrospective set. By re-releasing cards like Infernity Patriarch, Konami aimed to provide players with easier access to older utility cards that had previously been scattered across various expansion sets.
