Injection Fairy Lily

Injection Fairy Lily made its debut in the 2002 expansion Legacy of Darkness. As a Secret Rare card, it stood out for its high-risk, high-reward ability, which allows players to pay 2000 life points to gain 3000 attack points during damage calculation. This mechanic encapsulated the aggressive, tactical shift seen in the game's early competitive scene, where players often prioritized overwhelming offensive pressure over long-term preservation.

The card’s illustration, designed by the creative team at Konami, features a whimsical, syringe-wielding character that contrasts sharply with the gritty, mythological aesthetic common to many other monsters of that era. Upon its release, it became a highly sought-after centerpiece for competitive decks, as its unique effect made it one of the most potent finishers available. It remains a recognizable symbol of the Legacy of Darkness set and a notable example of the creative risks taken during the game's formative years.
