Kashtira Ogre

Kashtira Ogre was released in the 2022 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG core booster set Darkwing Blast. As a core member of the Kashtira archetype, the card reflects the set's focus on high-level monsters that utilize the banish zone as a central mechanic. The archetype was designed to pressure opponents by locking down specific board zones, a playstyle that quickly established itself as a formidable force in the competitive landscape upon its introduction.

The visual design of the Kashtira cards follows a distinctive futuristic, mechanical aesthetic characterized by sharp, angular armor and ethereal energy components. Developed by the artists at Konami, the creature designs draw on themes of interdimensional warfare and aggressive expansionism. The reception of the card was primarily defined by its utility within the broader Kashtira engine, which became a defining meta-game presence throughout the 2022 and 2023 tournament seasons.
