Lion Alligator

Lion Alligator was introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in 2014 as part of Battle Pack 3: Monster League. This set was specifically designed for a sealed-play environment, featuring a diverse pool of cards intended to simulate a draft format where monsters from various archetypes could compete on a level playing field. As an Earth-attribute Reptile-type monster, the card represents the unique thematic design choices that characterized the era's experimentation with mixed-type synergy.

The card features an illustration of a hybrid creature, leaning into the eccentric creature design common in the earlier years of the franchise. It functions as an effect monster with a triggered ability that rewards the player for discarding it as a cost, a mechanic that emphasizes the strategic utility of graveyard-based play. While it was not a centerpiece of competitive meta-play, it remains a noted inclusion for players who appreciate the variety and experimental creature concepts found within the Battle Pack series.
