Magic Jammer

Magic Jammer debuted in the second core Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG expansion, Metal Raiders, which was released in North America in 2002. As a counter trap card, it was designed to provide players with a high-stakes defensive utility, allowing them to negate and destroy an opponent's spell card at the cost of discarding one card from their hand. This mechanic cemented its role as a fundamental disruption tool during the game's early competitive era.

The card features artwork consistent with the aesthetic of the original Japanese OCG, characterized by its mechanical, sci-fi imagery typical of the trap card subset. Designed to counter the dominance of powerful spell-based strategies, Magic Jammer was highly regarded by early tournament players for its versatility. The Ultra Rare variant in the Metal Raiders set remains a sought-after piece for collectors documenting the formative years of the English-language card game.
