Majesty Pegasus, the Dracoslayer

Majesty Pegasus, the Dracoslayer was released in the 2022 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG core booster set Darkwing Blast. This card marks a significant narrative and mechanical return for the Dracoslayer archetype, which first debuted in the Clash of Rebellions set years prior. Its introduction served as a long-awaited support piece, designed to revitalize the playability of Pendulum-based strategies by providing essential search and resource-management capabilities that align with the established lore of the Dracoslayer warriors battling against the Dracoverlord forces.

The card features artwork consistent with the high-fantasy aesthetic characteristic of the franchise, emphasizing the majestic and ethereal qualities of the Pegasus design. As an Ultra Rare variant in the DABL-EN023 slot, it reflects the deliberate card design philosophy of providing powerful utility monsters to competitive players while maintaining the iconic visual identity of the archetype. Upon its release, the card was well-received by the competitive community for its synergy within Pendulum decks, helping to solidify the Dracoslayer engine as a recurring presence in tournament play.
