Master of Oz

Master of Oz first appeared in the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game as part of the Dark Revelation Volume 3 set, released in the mid-2000s as a compilation of previously available cards. The card represents a fusion between the monsters Big Koala and Des Kangaroo, drawing on the whimsical yet formidable creature designs characteristic of the series' early eras. It was crafted by the game's design team to offer players a high-attack fusion option, leaning into the archetype of beast-type monsters that were central to the strategy of the time.

The card's artwork features a stylized, armored fusion of its base components, reflecting the aesthetic standards of Konami’s design department during the mid-2000s. While it was not considered a meta-defining card for competitive tournament play due to its high cost and specific material requirements, it remains a nostalgic piece for collectors of the Dark Revelation series. Its inclusion in this specific set helped bridge the gap for players seeking cards from earlier expansion packs that had become difficult to acquire at the time.
