Metaphys Horus

Metaphys Horus was released in 2019 as part of the Duel Devastator box set, a product specifically designed to provide competitive players with a curated collection of essential cards for their side decks and extra decks. The card itself debuted earlier in the 2014 set Primal Origin, representing the Metaphys archetype, which reimagines classic monsters through a theme of ethereal, displaced light. This specific re-release version, designated DUDE-EN009, was printed in Ultra Rare foil to match the aesthetic standards of the commemorative set.

The card features an intricate, celestial design that emphasizes the archetype’s focus on banishing mechanics and temporal manipulation. Its artwork, characterized by the stylized, glowing geometry typical of the Metaphys series, was created to evoke a sense of ancient, ascended power. Upon its inclusion in Duel Devastator, it was well-received by the player base for its utility as a versatile Synchro Monster that can negate or take control of opposing cards, solidifying its place in the game's tactical landscape.
