Mirror Wall

Mirror Wall was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as an Ultra Rare in the 2002 expansion set Pharaoh's Servant. It was designed as a continuous trap card capable of halving the attack points of any monster that attacks the controller, serving as a tactical deterrent against aggressive playstyles during the early years of the game. Its inclusion in the Speed Duel: Battle City Box, released in 2020, marks its reintroduction into a format specifically streamlined to emulate the faster, more accessible gameplay featured in the original animated series.

The card's design is heavily associated with the character Mai Valentine, who utilized it as a signature defensive maneuver in the Battle City story arc. The illustration depicts a reflective, ethereal barrier, visually reinforcing the card's mechanic of turning an opponent's strength against them. Within the context of the Battle City Box, it remains a faithful recreation of the classic card, providing newer players the opportunity to experience the strategic tension and iconic card synergies that defined the game's formative era.
