Nekroz of Trishula

Nekroz of Trishula was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game during the mid-2010s as the centerpiece of the Nekroz archetype. The design philosophy behind the Nekroz monsters involved 'armor' manifestations of legendary monsters from the game's past, effectively reimagining the powerful Ice Barrier dragon, Trishula, as a ritual monster. This thematic choice sought to blend nostalgia with a complex, resource-heavy playstyle that dominated the competitive meta-game for several years.

The Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem set, which features the card under the code BLMM-EN132, serves as a high-rarity reprint collection intended to make iconic cards accessible to modern players. The Secret Rare finish applied to this version highlights the intricate, icy crystalline detailing characteristic of the Trishula motif. Upon its original release and subsequent reprints, the card has been consistently regarded by the community as a quintessential staple of high-level ritual summoning strategies, prized for its disruptive ability to banish opponent cards.
