Nimble Manta

The Nimble Manta was introduced in the Galactic Overlord booster set, released internationally in May 2012. As part of the long-running Nimble archetype, which is characterized by small, aquatic-themed monsters that facilitate rapid field swarming, this card was designed to support Xyz Summoning strategies by allowing players to special summon additional copies of the creature from the deck whenever it hits the graveyard. This mechanic reflects the archetype's thematic focus on collective, fluid motion, providing players with a consistent resource for rank-two Xyz plays.

The artwork follows the established aesthetic of the Nimble series, depicting the creature with the lighthearted, stylized charm common to early 2010s card designs. While the card is a common rarity, making it widely accessible to players at the time of its release, it remains a notable utility piece within its specific water-attribute synergy. It was well-received by competitive players looking for consistent graveyard fodder, cementing its role as a functional engine piece rather than a centerpiece of high-rarity collector interest.
