Number 10: Illumiknight

Number 10: Illumiknight was released in the 2011 Collectible Tins, specifically within the second wave, as a Secret Rare variant. The card belongs to the 'Number' monster series, a central mechanic introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL era of the card game. These cards were designed to represent powerful, spectral entities that players duel to collect, with their visual identity defined by metallic, ethereal aesthetics and gold-bordered frames that set them apart from standard monster cards.

The character design reflects the thematic shift toward futuristic, armored warriors seen during the ZEXAL animation cycle. The card serves as a rank 4 Xyz monster, intended to provide utility by allowing players to discard cards to draw new ones. Upon its release, it was received primarily as a collectible centerpiece for the 2011 tin packaging, valued more for its high-rarity foil finish and its status as a core component of the Number collection than for its competitive dominance in the professional tournament scene.
