Number 11: Big Eye

Number 11: Big Eye originally debuted in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the 2012 Return of the Duelist booster set. As an Xyz Monster, it represents a core mechanic introduced during the Zexal era, designed to allow players to manipulate the opponent's board state by detaching materials to gain control of a target monster. The creature's distinctive design, featuring a central, looming eye surrounded by mechanical appendages, aligns with the theme of high-rank Xyz monsters often being portrayed as formidable, reality-bending entities within the game's lore.

The Quarter Century Stampede set, which includes the RA04-EN062 release of this card, serves as a retrospective collection designed to celebrate the history of the game. By re-releasing iconic monsters from earlier sets with special formatting, the set aims to honor cards that have historically impacted competitive play. Big Eye remains a significant inclusion in this reprint cycle because of its enduring legacy as a powerful utility card that has seen play across various formats for over a decade due to its ability to turn the tide of a duel.
