Patrician of Darkness

Patrician of Darkness was originally introduced during the early years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, serving as a tactical tool for players utilizing Zombie-type monsters. Designed as a high-level Effect Monster, its ability to force opponents to attack specific targets was intended to provide a layer of defensive strategy and board control, reflecting the darker, supernatural aesthetic common to early undead-themed cards in the game.

The Gold Series: Haunted Mine set, which included this reprint as a common variant, was released to provide players with accessible versions of iconic or thematic cards. The set was curated to celebrate the game's history, featuring a distinct gold-bordered aesthetic for its primary cards, though this particular version serves as a functional, non-foil inclusion designed to ensure the card remained available for competitive and casual deck-building alike.
