Performapal Fireflux

Performapal Fireflux was released as part of the 2017 Mega-Tin Mega Pack, a compilation set designed to reprint high-value cards from previous Yu-Gi-Oh! booster sets. The card itself originates from the Arc-V era of the franchise, which introduced the Pendulum mechanic—a hybrid system allowing players to summon monsters as spells or creatures. The design reflects the whimsical, circus-inspired aesthetic of the Performapal archetype, characterized by vibrant colors and a blend of animal and mechanical motifs intended to appeal to younger demographics and fans of the corresponding anime series.

The card was illustrated by the internal creative team at Konami. As a common rarity print in the 2017 Mega-Tin, it served as a budget-friendly way for players to integrate the Pendulum engine into their decks. While it did not hold significant competitive dominance in the professional meta, it remains a notable piece for collectors focusing on the Arc-V period, representing the proliferation of support cards that defined the game's shift toward faster, complex board states during the mid-2010s.
