Poissonniere de Nouvelles

Poissonniere de Nouvelles was released in the Age of Overlord expansion, which debuted in late 2023 as a core set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. This card is part of the 'Nouvelles' archetype, a thematic series introduced in the Wild Survivors set that draws inspiration from the art of haute cuisine. The design of this monster centers on a culinary motif, blending the mechanics of Ritual Summoning with a restaurant-themed aesthetic, reflecting the developer's intent to create a cohesive strategy based on the concept of high-end dining and preparation.

The artwork for the card features a stylized, feminine chef character designed within the high-fantasy aesthetic typical of Konami’s character designers. Like other members of the Nouvelles set, it is designed to interact with the game's specific mechanics by 'tributing' opponent monsters to simulate the act of cooking or preparing ingredients. Upon its arrival, the card was received by the competitive community as a niche support piece, valued for its ability to search for ritual cards and facilitate the complex chain-based playstyle required by the deck.
