Where it came from
Prediction Ritual was introduced as part of the OTS Tournament Pack 2, released by Konami in 2016. These packs are distributed exclusively to official tournament stores to provide participating players with unique promotional cards and competitive reprints. As a ritual spell card, it serves the specific mechanics of the Prediction Princess archetype, designed to facilitate the ritual summoning of high-level monsters from the hand or graveyard while managing the deck's resource flow.
The card features artwork consistent with the aesthetic of the Ritual Spell line, emphasizing the occult and mystical themes inherent to the card type. While it is a common rarity, its inclusion in a tournament-exclusive pack elevated its status among players focused on niche mechanical support. It was designed to provide accessibility for players building ritual-based strategies, ensuring that the specific utility required by the deck remained available within the competitive ecosystem.
