Prideful Roar

Prideful Roar was released as part of the Duel Terminal 2 expansion, which hit North American markets in 2010. This set was unique because it tied into the Duel Terminal arcade machines, which required physical cards to interact with the cabinet interface. The set introduced various archetypes centered on the complex Duel Terminal lore, providing a distinct mechanical and aesthetic expansion to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game ecosystem during that era.

The design of the card reflects the aggressive, high-risk playstyle prevalent in mid-2000s competitive play. As a Normal Trap card, its effect allows a player to pay life points to boost a monster's attack, embodying the 'all-in' spirit often associated with the game's more volatile strategies. While not a centerpiece of the meta, the card is recognized by collectors as a relic of the early Duel Terminal era, characterized by its specialized terminal-compatible card stock and the distinct, glossy parallel finish typical of these specific releases.
