Procession of the Tea Jar

Procession of the Tea Jar was released in early 2024 as part of the Phantom Nightmare core set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. It represents a thematic expansion of the Majespecter archetype, a series of WIND-attribute Spellcaster monsters introduced years prior that focus on disruptive board control and recurring resource management. The card was designed to support existing strategies by providing a way to cycle through the deck and retrieve specific monsters from the graveyard or deck, reflecting the set's broader goal of revitalizing older deck archetypes with modern mechanical support.

The visual design of the card, featuring the whimsical, spirit-like tea jar motif consistent with the Majespecter aesthetic, follows the franchise's tradition of blending pastoral folklore with tactical card game mechanics. Illustrators within the Konami design team crafted the art to maintain the recognizable, vibrant style associated with the set, which emphasizes colorful, nature-aligned character designs. Upon its release in the English TCG market, the card was widely received by competitive players as a niche utility tool intended to bolster the consistency of specific pendulum-based strategies.
