Psychic Wave

Psychic Wave was introduced as part of the Battles of Legend: Armageddon set, which was released by Konami in 2020. This set was designed to bring a variety of requested, previously unreleased cards to the trading card game, as well as high-demand reprints that had become difficult for players to acquire. The set focuses on cards featured in the various anime series that had not yet made the transition to the physical card game, providing a bridge between the show's narrative moments and competitive play.

The card's design aesthetic aligns with the distinct visual style of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, which emphasizes high-contrast, dynamic character-based art. As a spell card, its design is meant to represent a tactical maneuver within the game's mechanics, utilizing a specific interaction with Psychic-type monsters to inflict damage. The Ultra Rare foil treatment applied to this card from the Armageddon set features a characteristic sheen that distinguishes it from common or rare versions, a hallmark of the premium rarity tiers players often seek for their personal collections.
