Reborn Tengu

Reborn Tengu was introduced in the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game expansion Extreme Victory. The card was designed as a proactive mid-range monster, featuring an effect that allowed it to special summon another copy of itself from the deck when it left the field. This specific mechanic made it a cornerstone of competitive play during the 2011 era, as it allowed players to maintain field presence and mitigate the resource costs associated with synchro summoning.

The creature is illustrated with a design inspired by the tengu, a legendary being from Japanese folklore known for its bird-like features and martial prowess. The art style reflects the aesthetic of the Extreme Victory set, which leaned into dynamic, warrior-themed monster designs. Upon its release, the card was widely received as a staple in various decks, eventually earning a place as a common inclusion in tournament-winning strategies due to its versatility and ability to facilitate card advantage.
