Reborn Tengu

Reborn Tengu was released in May 2011 as the promotional participation card for the Extreme Victory Sneak Peek event. As a key piece of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game expansion, it was distributed to players who attended local gaming store events celebrating the set's launch. The card quickly became a staple in competitive play due to its ability to replace itself upon leaving the field, allowing players to maintain board presence during aggressive trading sequences.

The card's design features the mythological Japanese tengu, a creature often depicted as a bridge between human and bird-like traits. By utilizing a high-rarity ultra-rare foil finish for a participation card, Konami encouraged engagement with the organized play scene. Its effectiveness in the 'Synchro' era of the game solidified its reputation as a versatile utility monster, favored for its consistency and synergy with various deck archetypes of that period.
