Where it came from
Ritual Beast Inheritance was introduced in the 2024 expansion Battles of Legend: Terminal Revenge. The set was designed to bridge the gap between classic Duel Terminal storylines and modern competitive play, specifically reviving the Ritual Beast archetype, which originally debuted in the Duel Terminal era. The card serves as a crucial support spell for the archetype, designed to smooth out the complex summoning sequences inherent to the deck's mechanics.
The card features artwork consistent with the Ritual Beast theme, emphasizing the spiritual bond between the tamer and the beast. Within the game, its function is to facilitate the search and recruitment of specific archetype members, reflecting Konami's intent to modernize older strategies for the current competitive landscape. As a secret-rare card in this specific set, it was intended to serve as both a functional tool for players and a collector's piece for fans of the established Terminal lore.
