Spiritual Beast Tamer Lara

Spiritual Beast Tamer Lara was introduced in the 2024 Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game expansion Battles of Legend: Terminal Revenge. This set was designed to bring long-awaited support to archetypes rooted in the Duel Terminal lore, a complex, multi-year narrative arc within the game’s universe that depicts an epic conflict between warring factions like the Gusto, Gishki, and Ritual Beast tribes. The card serves as a thematic continuation of the Ritual Beast archetype, specifically focusing on the character Lara, who is portrayed as a young apprentice navigating the aftermath of the Terminal World wars.

The card features artwork consistent with the series' high-fantasy aesthetic, emphasizing the synergy between the character and her spiritual companions. As a Secret Rare, the printing utilizes a distinctive diagonal foil pattern known as prismatic secret rare, which distinguishes it within the set. Upon its release, it was received primarily as a functional utility piece for Ritual Beast decks, valued by competitive players for its ability to extend combos and facilitate special summons, thereby revitalizing a fan-favorite strategy from an earlier era of the game.
