Shinobi Necro

Shinobi Necro was released in the Savage Strike booster set, which debuted in the TCG in early 2019. As a Zombie-type effect monster, it was designed to support the Shinobi archetype, a sub-theme that focuses on recurring monsters from the graveyard to the field. Its inclusion in this set was part of a broader push by Konami to expand the utility of low-level monsters with graveyard-trigger effects, allowing players to build resilient board states that persist even after destruction.

The card features artwork consistent with the macabre aesthetic of the Shinobi series, blending traditional ninja motifs with undead imagery. Designed by the internal art team at Konami, the illustration emphasizes the ghostly, spectral nature of the creature to reflect its gameplay mechanic of special summoning itself when banished or targeted. Upon its release, it was received as a functional common-rarity utility card, frequently utilized by players looking for budget-friendly ways to maintain momentum in Zombie-based decks.
