Strike Ninja

Strike Ninja was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the early 2000s, originally appearing as a high-rarity chase card in the Invasion of Chaos expansion. Its design centers on the 'Ninja' archetype, a recurring theme in the game that emphasizes swift movement and resource management, reflecting traditional tropes of stealth and agility. The card gained significant popularity among competitive players for its unique ability to banish Dark-attribute monsters from the graveyard to dodge targeted effects, making it a staple of the 'Chaos' control decks that defined the competitive meta at the time.

The version found in the Speed Duel: Battle City Box, numbered SBCB-EN175, is a common-rarity reprint intended to make this classic monster accessible to a modern audience playing the Speed Duel format. While the artwork retains the original illustration by Konami's design team, this specific iteration serves as a functional tool for Speed Duel players to utilize the card’s banishment-based tactics within the simplified ruleset of the Battle City box, bridging the gap between historical card design and contemporary gameplay.
