Strike Ninja

Strike Ninja was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in early 2004 as part of the Magician's Force expansion. Designed as an effect monster with a focus on graveyard resource management, it allowed players to banish Dark monsters to protect itself from targeted effects, a mechanic that defined its utility during the era's competitive play. The card quickly gained traction for its ability to dodge removal spells, cementing its status as a staple for aggressive, attribute-focused strategies.

The version from Shadows in Valhalla, released in 2018, is a reprint that introduced the card to a modern card pool with a super-rare holographic finish. This set was notable for bringing older, legacy cards into contemporary circulation, maintaining the original art by Konami's internal design team. While the card's competitive viability has fluctuated over two decades, its inclusion in this set was intended for both veteran collectors seeking aesthetic upgrades and new players exploring the history of the game's evolving mechanics.
