Summoner's Art

Summoner's Art was originally introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game expansion Soul of the Duelist in 2004. Designed as a support spell card, its primary utility allows a player to add a high-level Normal Monster to their hand, a strategic necessity for decks centered around powerful but difficult-to-summon vanilla creatures. The card's artwork features a distinct, fantastical aesthetic consistent with the early visual language of the franchise, emphasizing the arcane nature of conjuring legendary beings.

The version included in the Speed Duel Starter Decks: Match of the Millennium, released in 2021, brings this classic card into the streamlined, modern Speed Duel format. By reissuing cards from the franchise's extensive history, the set aims to balance legacy support with the faster pacing of the Speed Duel ruleset. Like much of the artwork in the game, the design was handled by the Konami internal art department, maintaining the signature illustrative style that fans have associated with the card for nearly two decades.
