Tenyi Spirit - Vishuda

Tenyi Spirit - Vishuda first debuted in the 2019 core set Rising Rampage, introducing a new archetype to the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game that focused on non-effect monsters and synergy with the Wyrm-type. Designed to embody the philosophy of detachment and spiritual essence, the card represents the 'Tenyi' aesthetic, characterized by flowing, martial-art-inspired illustrations. The inclusion of this card in the 2022 release Ghosts From the Past: The 2nd Haunting provided a widely accessible Ultra Rare variant for players and collectors alike.

The artwork for the Tenyi line is credited to the Konami creative team, who sought to blend traditional East Asian spiritual motifs with modern fantasy combat elements. Within the competitive landscape, Vishuda became highly regarded for its utility, specifically its ability to return opponent cards to the hand, making it a staple in various deck builds. Its reception among the player base has been consistently positive, noted for its balance and role in enabling board control strategies.
