The Judgement Hand

The Judgement Hand was released in 2002 as part of the Tournament Pack: 1st Season, a foundational set designed to support the burgeoning competitive scene of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in North America. These early packs were distributed primarily through official tournament venues, serving as a reward for participants and helping to build local player communities during the game's initial surge in popularity.

As a normal monster, the card features straightforward gameplay mechanics characteristic of the game's inception, where tactical play often relied on basic attack and defense values rather than complex effects. The card's aesthetic, depicting a solitary, armored hand, reflects the darker, more industrial fantasy art style favored by Konami’s designers during the early 2000s, aiming to establish a distinct visual identity that distanced the game from standard creature-collecting tropes of the era.
