Tri-Brigade Kerass

Tri-Brigade Kerass was originally introduced in the core set Phantom Rage, released in late 2020. It serves as a central engine piece for the Tri-Brigade archetype, a group of Beast, Beast-Warrior, and Winged Beast monsters designed with a cohesive graveyard-banishing mechanic that allows players to link summon powerful boss monsters with ease. The design aesthetic leans into a gritty, post-apocalyptic mercenary theme, illustrating the synergy between different animal-type factions working together in a unified military structure.

The 2021 Tin of Ancient Battles version, numbered MP21-EN170, acted as a wide-release reprint that made the previously higher-rarity card more accessible to the general player base. Konami’s design team emphasized a dynamic, battle-ready pose for Kerass, reflecting its utility as a primary extender in competitive decks. Upon its release, the card was widely praised for its versatility and its role in defining the competitive meta of the era, becoming a staple for any duelist focused on maximizing efficiency within their graveyard resources.
