Ultimate Offering

Ultimate Offering was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the 2002 Starter Deck: Pegasus, serving as one of the fundamental trap cards available during the game's initial North American release. Designed to facilitate additional normal summons by paying 500 life points, the card was intended to provide players with a strategic way to swarm the field with monsters, reflecting the high-stakes, unpredictable playstyle associated with the character Pegasus in the original anime series.

The card's design, featuring artwork consistent with the early aesthetic of Kazuki Takahashi's franchise, became a subject of significant competitive history. Because its effect allowed for nearly unlimited summoning in a single turn, it was frequently exploited in aggressive combo decks. Over the years, this utility led to the card being restricted and eventually banned in official tournament play by Konami to preserve the balance of the game's meta-environment.
